Will try a nose spray and see what happens.
I ended up having some odd problems while on prednisone including thrush and athlete's foot--problems I think my immune system would have deterred otherwise.
My practice was to head to the doctor if I had symptoms that persisted for a few days as being immune compromised can let us get worse rapidly.
If you have been using mestinon for months and this cropped up just now, I wouldn't just assume it is mestinon side effects. Be proactive on problems is a good rule for us. Although we like to think we can self-diagnose or get advice from friends, we do better to check with our doctor.
The difficulty is in trying to decide when to see a doctor. With MG, that decision point is moved significantly to earlier than normal!
Good Luck

As usual, I appreciate your input and comments.
The difficulty is in deciding when to bring these concerns/symptoms to my doc.
My nose seems to running less today. Went through a box of Kleenex yesterday.
If still running will contact my PCP tomorrow AM.
Problems happen when I had cough and it wore me out. Nice feeling when we survive it. I know lately that I think I have been over protective of myself. I plan on easing up a bit on myself and trying to feel more normal. I wouldn't worry till it made my lungs feel week. Simple cold meds from over the counter help me too.
I know how we can worry. I cut my leg and we just went on vacation. I never went in pool for fear of bacteria leading to infection. Any problem causes us so much concern cause we just don't trust our bodies.
