I do many 'cheating' exercises ;) and dumbbells are terrific. You should get a set for your home.
I work out my arms regularly, lunges I used to do next to a sofa or I held onto something in case I felt weak and fell. My pushups are total cheaters even now, my pelvic area is literally on the floor and I just lift with my arms, or I kneel but have one leg stretched back for balance and weight distribution (for some reason it lessens the load on my arms and I can still do pushups.
Another weird tip, something I came across is that antiperspirants shouldn't be used when exercising - the sweat glands release toxins from the body that your body needs to extract. Look for salt bars that work pretty well too ;)
If your legs are weak, try to go for walks with someone just for even 15 minutes while holding onto them.
If you're on Mestinon, it's best to exercise about 1 hour after you take your meds so that you're at your best ;)
I hope this helps sweetie ;)
Let me know how you do, ok?
Ella.
