I have done more than one of these things t one time or another! The other day I sprayed my oral medication on my throat and arms and my cologne in my mouth! Needless to say I have moved the cologne to another place!

... for the third time in less than a month you were getting low on something in the kitchen so you buy more only to have your carer/significant other exasperatedly berate you, "You already have another bottle/box/jar of _____ in the pantry !"

So now I have two new bottles of Thai sauce, two new boxes of green tea, and two new jars of Dijon mustard !

I always put things in the same place (glasses on the nightstand, watch on the dresser) and follow a routine. If I deviate at all from my routine I go back and start over.

Having said that, in the past month I "misplaced" a telephone, my watch, and two pairs of pants. I said to myself "I know I came home with my pants..." lol

I have since found them all, but locating the phone took about two weeks. Decided not to let it drive me crazy, it would either turn up or not.

I know I have "cog fog" when I throw out something, spend the whole next day looking for it, and it comes to me it the night that I threw it out.

Today I put a glass of milk in the fridge and the milk jug in the cabinet.

you know you have cog fog when your child asks you to fix her something to eat you get up head to the kitchen and then turn around 10 min later she goes mommy you forgot to feed me again

Hey Everyone, I'm a newbie! Hello! It's nice to be here. I am excited!

I am the Queen of Cog Fog! It's horrible but I agree, the best thing to do is laugh. Below are some of my not so bright moments:

Went to grocery store, bagged my groceries and left store. Got home, panicked; I was missing some things!!! So I ran back to the store and when I got there they asked for the receipt, which I left at home! Went home, got receipt, went back to store, grabbed my bags and when I got home realized I left one more there. True story. I wish it wasn't. LOL

Started new job. Went to work one morning and the office was empty except for my Director. She asked why I was there and I told her (with a "duh" look on my face) "To work?". She replied, "No you aren't, today is a Federal holiday." Maybe it left an impression of being eager to work? Hmmm...probably not. LOL

Issues with memory are concerning. NeuroPsych shows deficits in all cognitive areas so my Neuro put me on Aricept. I took it for two nights, then the subject came up if I was doing better on it. I had to think about it for a second or two (or 30) and realized I never took any after day two. My Neurologist either thought I was playing games or realized I really am THAT bad cognitively! Oiy.

Much more but I will stop there. LOL~~

In the shower, about to apply shampoo and realize I am wearing my glasses. Rush to the toilet, sit down & pee, and realize I had

pulled down my panties. Gotta luv it!

that is, I had NOT pulled down my panties. Oy!

When you I forgot how to write a couple of letters in the alphabet. I was writing BMW. I got the B but when it came to M, I tried but I couldn't remember. So I skipped to W and same thing (my last name starts with W). Freaky.

I couldn't pronounce my neighbors name. I saw it in my head (Amy), just three letters, could say the letters but the not the name. Ugh

Reavoom, I once forgot to pull up my panties and pants after I peed. Went head first into door. Laughed all day every time I thought about it.
