We saw one neuro for 6 weeks, after the DX we decided to switch to the specialist. He really wasn't much better but didn't have an accent.

I'm not really happy with my GPs office, but they're a known quantity so I haven't changed yet. But if you're UNhappy with a doc, by all means, go find one you like better.

May not be easy to find though, how jaded are they all, after how many years in practice?

OK, I by no means want to make you feel worse, but could it be that you felt uncomfortable because he more or less called you out on your shots (I read your journal). I know that I had a doctor that used to really make my blood boil when he stated that I had a weight problem (oh really, I hadn't noticed). Sometimes it is hard to hear things we don't want pointed out. Especially in front of husbands wifes.

On that note, you may want to give him another shot, especially after 15 years. See if he continues to make you feel uncomfortable, if so, then start looking. As for his office staff, you can always talk to him about the problems you are having with him. Again I had a doctor (GP) that I adored, but he went in with another doctor, and the office staff was less than friendly. I did not have the nerve to discuss it with him, but my mother did (we had same GP). The staff really changed their attitude after that, so I assume he did something about it. Then I moved, but my Mom has not stated any problems since (and she would have let me know).

Ok I gotta say this, have you talked about LDN with him? I am surprised Larry didn't mention it! It is easier to remember to take a pill than to do those shots, that is for sure!!

You have a very valid point there DNJ. I did get a little upset when he called me out, but that was not the only thing that made me uncomfortable. He just seemed to be a little short with me in general that day, and I guess I wasn't in the mood for it. I DID talk to him about his office staff, and he said he would talk with the office manager, whether or not things change there remains to be seen. I guess I'm just feeling like I'm at a crossroads, I believe I'm beginning the progressive phase of MS and am not feeling real pleased with anything, lol. OK, back to try giving him another shot, as we all have bad days, and although we expect our doctors to be more professional than to let it get to them, they are human after all. Trust your gut instincts. People change, situations change. Sometimes it is just good to have a different perspective. You can always try someone new and if you found you made a mistake go back to your original neuro. Nothing will be lost and maybe something will be gained.

Yes, follow your intuition and do what you need to do. Other Dr's can look at your case through the other's notes. I truly believe in intuition (at the risk of sounding sexiest )and Im NOT... but women have an intuition I believe, a sense, that gut feeling we know when something needs to be done, or is "happening" and so many of us don't follow that we put it aside. If you are feeling there is a reason, follow your inner voice. This is just my opinion for anyone that has a different view. I am very open to all views with all people.
