XOXO, Sue
So sorry you have all this on your plate
(hugs my sister) Mary
At least you are reaching out and we are here.
I'm very sorry to hear about your COPD and I hope the pulm. can get you some relief.
I fully understand your frustration and I wish I could take it away.
I also have multiple chronic conditions to contend with and I think one of the hardest struggles I face every day is trying to live with them - to accept, manage, endure what each throws at me. I too want to be positive, but it feels like I'm going to burst apart sometimes - which sounds like a great relief.
Please don't let yourself believe that the COPD is any worse or better than the other conditions - each has its load to bear, but you are strong and you will be able to manage it.
I don't know if I believe in God - how can we be made to suffer all this afterall - but I do know that we as human beings are strong and can endure.
Please know that this place is always here for you to vent, cry, and scream to.
Many Hugs,
Michelle

Anyway, I love all of you! I mean that. All I had to do was reach out when I really needed help and boom! So much support. I feel like I fell into a large black pit and there were so many hands pulling me up out of it. As I read about what each of you has on your plate, I actually feel quite lucky.
Amazingly, the clinic got me into the specialist (pulmonary) next week already! So I'll know more about what I am facing and where to go from here. The steroids hit their max last night (day three) and now I'm on the down side again as I begin to taper. Steroids due a big number on making me an emotional basket case.
Okay, here's a peek at my humorous side. I still can't believe I did this. Three years ago, on an educational trip to Boston, my group went to a very nice restaurant (upscale) for supper. We were all dead tired, but hungry. Two of us had lobsters and while in ND we generally just get the tail, we got the whole thing at this restaurant. Okay, so I'm beginning to experience what I think is called 'sleep-drunk' and I take the shells of the lobsters off our plates and put on a puppet show from my table with a lobster on each hand. The entire restaurant was howling. Then I started laughing so hard that I tipped over backwards in my chair. Fortunately, it was too close to the wall to fall all the way over, but it wedged between the wall and the table and I couldn't get out. Someone took a picture. Sure wish I had a copy of it. I've done lots of other things as well. I get into these really neat humorous modes and try to make life interesting for myself as well as for whoever else wants to be entertained. I agree...humor is really important. Unfortunately, it sometimes leaves Thanks for helping me find it again!
