Hi All, hubby has found today that he has a heightened sence of smell so I just wanted ask if this is an MS thing or just a strange thing. does anyone else find they can smell better now. ta sharon

I haven't heard of this, but that doesn't mean it isnt common to others! Hmmm! Let us know!

Hmm ... I have never heard of this. But Marilyn said doesn't mean it doesn't happen.

I feel like I have an increased sense of smell. Maybe because my sight, hearing, & touch are diminished. I thought I had heard somewhere that with the loss of a sense the others would compensate. Don't know if this is M.S. or the process of ageing.

When i had my first MS attack and was in bed for 3 months with diplopia my sense of smell was heightened. Same can be said for my hearing. It may not be a symptom if MS but his body trying to compensate for one of diminished senses

Yes I have a heightened sense of smell and never had that before.

yes I have noticed too that my sense of smell is more sensitive or should I say stronger..not sure it's MS thing but I'm curious what is causing it.
