I'm pretty sure that the doctor could write you a script for a multivitamin I think I've had this done in the past. And I believe that I knew someone who used to get a script for fish oil. I'm not positive but it couldn't hurt anything to ask. :-)

You might want to check out "Summoning"'s post - seems that is what her doc did for her. There have to be prescriptions out there. What a good idea!

That is a good idea. They know vitamin D and B 12 are useful, along witht the fish oil. A dermatologist wrote me an Rx for iron when I was having some hair loss. It was too strong and I stopped taking it. NOt sure if they'd let you pick your brand or delivery method. Some forms of vitamins are more readily used by your body than others so you might want to look those up and make sure you get the best ones. I spend a lot on viatmins and recently have been taking some anti-inflammatory supplements as well. Darn, I just had my neurologist appt yesterday and didn't think to ask about gettting a script for any of them. Let us know how it goes.

On 9/11 I started taking those huge Omega 3 horsepills lol and I also started taking Turmeric. That's one of the best herbal supplements a person can take. Research it, it's big.

I'll ask for a script, too. Watch out for snake oil salesman pushing mega vitamins. My Mayo Clinic doctor says no to that. Now I'm reading low fat diet...can't hurt, but I like my cookies.
