UTI symptoms but negative for UTI

HELP!
I have really bad UTI symptoms...like it feels like I gotta pee...but then I can't pee...and when I sit on the toilet (TMI I know) it burns when I try to pee but nothing comes out...

I called my doc who had me take a urinalysis and I'm NEGATIVE for UTI....WHAT???

So my question is...I get the whole feeling you have to pee thing (bladder spasms right)? but...the whole "burning" sensation thing? How is that MS related?

PS...my STI eval was clean too so none of that is causing it :)

Also,
anything that may help this besides cranberry supplement or pyridium?

I really don't have any advice to give. I use to get them often while on C..R.A.B drugs. My last UTI diminished my walking ability. Since then my Neurologist put me on a low dose antibiotic.

Call ur Neurologist & see what they say.

It turns out I was passing a kidney stone! So once the stone was passed the pain went away :)

Glad your problem is relieved. It seems a bit of apple cider vinegar in the diet and/or lemon juice could be a nice prevention. A couple of folks close to me use these to keep the kidney stones away. One uses lemon juice and the other uses apple cider vinegar in salads.

The lemon juice might be good for kidney stones but they are not good for a UTI. I read that acidic drinks like lemonade are not so good for the bladder re UTIs. I get UTIs often because I have to use a catheter to pee.

Signs of a UTI is you pee too easily because the urinary tract is irritated. So if there is a problem letting go, it is something else. For me peeing is difficult. Best to always see a urologist about whatever problem you got if it is serious. So glad that you got rid of the kidney stone. Glad you are out of pain.

My internist told me the same thing about lemon water for the kidney stones! I think I will start drinking it and just drink water more in general.

Yes, I have to be careful when differentiating between UTI and kidney stone...The symptoms are hard to tell apart for me, so a I always get a UA at my nearest lab just in case :) I'm getting better at identifying the stones now though :)

Be very careful! I didn't realize I had a UTI or any other problem and ended up in the hospital. I has urine back up into the kidney plus a kidney stone and a UTI!

Not a fun thing to have happen. Now, I drink plenty of water and a dose of apple cider vinegar a couple times a week!

Hi, I have bladder issues a lot. I drink cranberry juice and it helps a lot! I drink it almost everyday. I have been tested for bladder infections and all has come back negative.

    My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
