Usually I get a daily influx of emails on health topics. An article from Dr. Mercola really stood out recently though because it mentioned that fat cells have their own mitochondria. Not only was this the first I'd heard of this, he also mentioned that fat serves a purpose in our metabolism. Another new factoid for me. The bottom line for me was to appreciate that even our fat cells play a...

I just do not feel well and I really think that it's because I cried yesterday on my way to work about my Aunt who is in the hospital. I don't think that we will have her much longer. She is very frail. Now she needs help eating. So, this is the third time in a year that I felt this way after crying. I think crying releases toxins into my body. I also worked up a sweat at the gym...

If your doctor, regular or not, told you to go to the emergency room, you should be on your way now!

Thanks for sharing your exper. carolinagirl.
As you know, I have been using narcotics for many years for my pain issues. I am however not addicted.
I've made of point of being very careful with the substances I obtain and I am very cautious with them.
Yesterday was a good example of my pain behaving itself. I took one codeine #4 when I got home after being out for the day and one Valium for the spasms. I didn't notice any big jolt or anything much from it - just a bit less of the nagging pain in my legs/spine.
It was 11:00 p.m. when I took 30 mg. morphine and 1 mg. Xanax. Xanax knocks me out cold. I am allowed 1 mg. of Xanax a day only and it seems 30 mg. morphine sulfate at night.
I try to do without the morphine at night but tend to wake up a 3:00 a.m. with what I call the 2X4 syndrome. That could best be described as waking up feeling like someone is banging me across the shins of my legs with a 2X4! It really hurts bad and toss is those spams from being on my feet too much and that is it; no more sleep for me for the night.
It is not worth not taking the drugs. I believe that sleep is the most powerful medicine there is for this illness. If you don't get enough sleep, you are setting yourself up for a lot of problems very quickly!
Take Carolina. You know you are my friend already and I sure am glad you found some relief! :)
Now I have to find out about the Fentanyl patch recommended by Matz.
