Ugh the joys of MS

I'm not sure if I should call my neuro or not. It feels like a relapse but not entirely for sure. It could be migraines.
I know for the past week I've been very tired and I'm not sure if it's just from lack of sleep, as the Provigil (they just UPPED) is still not doing much :(((

Anyways, I wake up today and it really feels like my nerves are fried. Just shot.
Then begins the sudden and intense falling sensation/deja vu and extreme weakness afterward just as if I were getting a migraine. Except...there is not pain.
UNTIL, all the feeling goes out of my left leg..it feels so asleep/numb it hurrrts.
It feels like my body is giving up on me.
I took one Imitrex also, annnd that also did nothing.

The reason Im hesitating to call is I don't want to feel like an idiot. Depending on who I get, it's like, sometimes, "Well, this is part of the disease and sometimes you just have to get through it...this is what it does.."
..BUT LIKE THIS? Why can't I get some damn Prednisone or something?

Ugh..any advice, suggestions?

Sorry you are feeling terrible!

If the problem persists over 24 hours, you can pretty much bet that it is a relapse or flare. However, on calling the doctor because of your symptoms as you described them, if they are hurtful for you, or they interfere with your life, it is time to call the doctor. Otherwise, when I get bothersome symptoms I just live with them because there is usually nothing that can be done - it's part of this darn disease!

hey don't you eve feel like an idiot when you are advocating for your body.We should be able to ask our doctors any questions ans I do.I t is when my questions are not axknowleged or answered that i get ticked off, but always know you are not an idiaot.As many people say you and only you know your own body and when something is not right.I have had migraines off on on for about 3 to 4 years, about the time he became very ill and later died.My migaines di not cause what happens in my body and mind now.I know everyone is diffeent,I figure we are paying these docs and I keep a list of symptoms and srite down when new ones occur.Since I get nevous and cant express self with a c=doc in person-I have take to writing my MD and my neuro a leter ecently as I may not type well, but over a course of days in small spells I can print a letter to them on my legal pad and just mail it.Hang in there dear-Ellen

Mt typing sucks , but I meant to say migraines starte whn my father became ill and later died,People on this site are great o put up with typing errors and spselling words wrong. Ellen Her I got up in middle of night for glass of water and trying to type rresponses. Later-Ellen I had a very tough 3 days in Aug-lasted thee days,My friend had to come get my soon.My usually unpainful tingles, twinges etc turned quite painful-Imbuprofen did nothing and I slept alot, but befoe sleep as I lay in bed perfectly still was body was so electrified from feet to top of head.That was not one of my migraines and that was when I wrote down all the wierd new symptoms and maile to my neuro.Elen

I recently had a similar episode that caused such a severe migraine that I had to go to the hospital. I thought I was having a stroke. It did turn out to be a flare. I think that the best thing you can do is call your neurologist.

Thank you everyone :) I am feeling better today, but the migraines are already starting..I can feel it.

    My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
