Anyone else not yet diagnosed and taking meds? MRI shows lots of lesions so Nuero basically said I have CIS and 75% chance of it devoloping into MS. They have done studies with people not yet diagnosed and started treatment sooner. It was almost 3 times as long before they had another relapse that could give them their definate dx. It seems as though when I asked for advice if I should start taking copaxone before dx I had alot of comments saying no. But I also see alot of posts stating that they wished they were diagnosed sooner so they could have started treatment sooner? Went to see my OB for annual exam and she recommended I start treatment also because its better to start early. Her nurse's best friend had MS and she also recommended the same thing.

I tend to agree with your doctors. I wish I had started treatment when all the symtoms first started. Maybe I would be able to walk now if I had...

Well I decided to start treatment. I have a nurse coming over on Sat. to start me on Copaxone. We'll see how it goes.....

I took Copaxone for a few years and reacted very well to it. Good luck with your nurse visit and starting on your meds. My diagnosis and start of treatment were in the same time frame.

I was just dx in aug. & will talk meds with dr on thurs.....its all such a bummer! Financially Im so overwhelmed still trying to pay off my 2 MRIs & a ct & bloodwork!!! I have also asked others if I should start now & they have all said yes!

my mom takes avonex, it is an injection. she hates it. although she has not had many more symptoms. but the day after taking her shot she says it feels like a truck hit her and she has no energy to do anything.

I have been on Copaxone for 4 days and doing good so far. No side effects so far other than when I take the shot feels like a bee sting and I get a welt that lasts a few hours. Keeping positive that I am beeing pro-active about my health:)
