Outa curiosity are you working while doing this? Dr. gave me choices of Avonex or Rebif & Im just confused.....Can I still work or can I get disability, we have to many bills for just my husband to work....Uhg!!!!

Well to make a long story short, was advised 2 yrs ago that I should take rebif neva did, have one new lesion so I decided to try it, I am still working and will be working when I try it. Though I should of tried when I am off during summer months but of course I didn't. I have to work no husband one child etc etc.etc. I have ms and diabetes I have wondered regarding the disability myself. UHG is an understatement

I take it and have always worked. What I recommend, if you want to continue to take it, is to do the injection at night. Take some Advil (at the same time as the injection) to keep the fever down while you sleep. In the morning, drink a full glass of water.

After a few months, you might be able to change the pattern, but I still have to do Advil at the same time because the fever still comes back.

If I don't do Advil at night, then I am to wiped out to make it to work in the morning. At least it's only 3 days a week, right?!!

I am going to completely agre with Margie. I stopped taking the Advil, but that is just me, I don't like to take anything I don't absolutey have to.

I had to be at work no later than 5:45am when I started, and I had Tues and Wed off each week. So I injected at about 10 at night and went to sleep. I chose to inject Tues, Thurs, Sat. That way even if I felt bad, which I rarely did, the day after the injection, I would still have Thursday to do alot of stuff without any side effects. I also chose those days because I wanted to do the first injection on a day when I didn't have to work the next day, not knowing what to expect.

I worked long, long full time hours for over four years on Rebif, and it didn't get in my way. Listen to all the instructions, don't hesitate to call with questions, and you will be fine.

I was on Rebif 44mcg for about 8 years. Very little progression, and only one relapse. I found Aleve worked MUCH better. 220 mg's 1 hour before injection time. I also indulged in the MJ, a Major help for sure. I tolerated it well, because I smoked it for years before my dx.
