As I read peoples posts...I see most people are in a slump like myself..just one of those days or a week lol that we feel like shit n r feeling kinda sad..ithis past week I've felt like shit n its painful to walk..its that dull achy muscle twitchy leg pain that is down right annoying to the point that its painful..f*cking legs..its bullshit my mom had to come n help clean the apt..I don't even know what my bf thinks..but i,ve been a couch potato for a week n when u can't do anything else u think...how unfair this is..tv pisses me off cuz I think I used to walk like that...ugh not to mention lonely my bf works all day n I wind up seeing n spending time with him an hr or two before he knocks outs from being tired...he sees his friends most of the time after work n comes home when he's ready to relax n go to bed..I shouldn't be jealous but I'm left in the house longer alone..I know I. Shouldn't be jealous n sad when he's gone but shit I can't go out unless someone takes me...I've been so down n its like he doesn't notice or he sees just doesn't acknowledge it..I'm so friggin frustrated...now I'm worried bout applying for ssi n trying to start the process...blah I wanna just go away disappear for a while n some needed rest..idk what the point of this post is..guess to say I'm sad frustrated n lonely n I needed to vent

I think you got it right, this is just a bad week for some. Maybe it is because it's so darn hot outside, nobody is really doing anything, and summer is a time to be enjoying the outside, going places, doing things, seeing things. But, with MS, your limited. Like you said, you have to wait until someone comes takes you out. I'm the same way. I don't go anywhere unless someone takes me. So many times today I wished i could just pop in my car and go here or there.

So, chaulk it up to just being in a slump, and remember things can only go up from here. And they will!

it is so GOOD to vent. i am lost myself. (btw always love your posts. they are so pertinent). last wk, before dx, i told my mother i wanted to stay in the whole wkend and she seemed not to understand.

during the week, i take care of my father and look at wkends as my break.

this wkend, all changed after dx... i mentioned being excited about getting a scooter thru medicare and she asked me why. i just found out i have ms for sure yesterday, and when my father saw my swollen eyes, he asked me why i'd been crying. slowly, i said, "multiple sclerosis"

jeese. anyway, in a movie i love called "the hourse" the woman playing v. woolf said, "even crazy people like to be asked" when her sister attempted to excuse not asking her to a party.

i cannot do things other 20 somethings can.... but i still like to be asked.

i get it.
