I got a weird taste when I ate certain foods. I first thought it was my teeth, then I went to the dentist and he ruled that out. Then I went to the doctor. This doc finally figured it out.
So it was acid indigestion. I got the taste when I eat tomatoes, peanut butter, chocolate, coffee, etc. Basically anytime I eat stuff like that is acidic, as my doc informed me. He was correct.
If you have taste problems, I would definitely have it checked out. I understand that certain diseases can cause it. But I have never known anyone with MS who got weird tastes and smells. But I guess it can affect any part of our body. But I would check it out.
Get yourself checked for poisons or toxins in your body. I wonder about that causing MS.
CERTAIN DRUGS can do that. I knew a woman (who does not have MS) got weird tastes in her mouth from one of her powerful anti migraine med.
Good luck. Please get this cked out.
