All of a sudden this evening I couldn't swallow. It only lasted for a few seconds and I was able to swallow, but it created much fear for me. Then, just a few seconds later, it happened again. Now my throat feels strange, like I need to swallow. I'm trying to resist the urge due to the fear that I will have difficulty again. I've heard of this symptom and it is one of the ones I have feared the most. My neuro. has asked me a couple of times if this has been a problem, but it hasn't been until this evening. What does this mean? Why all of a sudden? Is there medication that can help? Is this part of a new exacerbation? Those of you with this symptom, I really need some advice. If it continues, I'll definitely call my doctor, but I value your advice and need to know what works for this and what your experiences are. The neuro. has the medical knowledge--those on this site have the 'reality' knowledge, which to me is more valuable. Thanks all of you!
