This may sound strange, and I'm hoping that someone else out there has experienced this, but I realized the other day that I haven't gotten sick with the flu, common cold, etc. since I was diagnosed over three years ago. Not even a sniffle or cough.

Could this be a benefit of having an overactive immune system...a silver lining perhaps? I may have just jinxed myself and will probably spend the weekend praying to the porcelain god, but I thought I would throw it out there.

I was told that my Rebif may help protect me from these things a little better than the average Joe- I guess they were right.
Mind you I am glad-Pain in the butt to deal with getting sick alot and with the MS to deal with.

I never thought it was MS, never thought I had MS, keeping me from getting sick. I figured after you have a kid nature takes care of the mom so she can care for the baby. LOL......3 years later I sure got a surprise....it was the MS

neuro recently asked me if i got flu shot...said no never have had flu..his reply was, not gonna fuss at you--people with ms rarely get the flu

If we have a immune system run a muck, than does it make sense to take vitamin C and other immune system enhancing stuff? Do we really want it to run better? We all start on all of these vitamins, any indication it helps?
