Strange MS hugs???

Hi all,

Ok, tomorrows the big day. Mri's being done at 9:15 am. So despite the fact I cant sleep much I really need to try. My kindle died today so I have not been in a happy mood. Having to reread a paperback. Not good.

So quick question. Does anyone ever get an MS hug under the arm? I have been having this really bad pain directly under my arm (mostly left side~~sigh~~) and I have had it for more than 6 months---before the idea of MS even crossed my mind---I used to think I just stretched a muscle bad or maybe it was my lymph nodes acting up. I basically ignored it. Well the other day I felt it and it feels like it is directly on my rib cage right there. So I am wondering??? Also, everytime I take a bath it always always always feels much worse. Everything feels much worse after a bath or shower. Sometimes I think I like the idea of "dirty" better than clean!!!! :-D ... Appreciate any answers or stories!!! Irish

Hi, my permanent hug is from my armpits to Almost my waist. Heat makes it worst, so a bath or shower is going to make it worst. Hope the MRI went well. Alma

Hi, again, forgot to tell you, ever since I got this hug, I lost my sensation of hunger, I only feel something when starving, since I forget to eat. Alma

hmm..i dont get it under my arm but high up in my chest..feels almost like really really bad heartburn mixed with some tightness n short of breath..stupid n frankly its very uncomfortable n i hate it! i dont like the feeling of a heart attack!

Mine is at the upper part of the ribcage, the first time it happened it woke me up and scared the bejeezus out of me - thought I was having a heart attack! Went to the doctor the next day, he said an EKG wasn't necessary, I insisted and he was right, but it gave me some peace of mind.

I have almost the same symptoms but under my right arm. I'm left handed so it seems my biggest problems are going to occur on my right side. Uncomfortable to be sure, thought I was having a bad reaction to a new deoderant at first but after going without for a week (phew!) obviously that wasn't the case.

Hi all! Thanks for your replies. It sounds like I'm not so alone in this scary world as I thought I was. Yes, my chest often hurts too, feels like indigestion and also like my chest bones ache something fierce.

How funny about the deodorant reaction!! That is EXACTLY what I thought the first time as well!!! Very confusing because it was the same stuff I had been using for years.

Oh well better run...time to go fight the good fight. Got mri back yesterday and the guy must have spent all of one hour studying over 500 images..they were back that fast and they were super busy. He says"no mass lesions"...hmmm...does that mean NO lesions or that there ARE lesions...they are just "smaller" than "mass" lesions? Have to post on this when I get back from my internist...appt at 9:30..., thanx guys!!....irish

That's really weird, your posting this because last night I woke with The Hug after over a year hug free. It affects my diphram area and feels as though an elephant is sitting on my chest. I take a very strong pain killer, more to go to sleep than anything.

I don't know why it's called the hug, there's nothing remotely affectionate about it.

    My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
