The last few days I've had this weird pain just below my knee, slightly off to the inside. I'm not sure how to explain but it's like a deep ache that starts mildly & then like a volume knob, it increases(very painful) then stops. It's not constant, just comes & goes.

Sometimes it's once or twice an hour,sometimes every couple of minutes. It doesn't feel like normal muscle spasms but I've never had them in this area before. Any input would be great.

Hi Tammy,

Does the pain get pretty intense? I've had a similar pain in my knee, mostly my right which is my bad side, that comes out of no where, is very intense for a short time and then goes away as quickly as it came. Off and on like you describe for sometimes up to a 4-5 days and then it's gone again for a while.

I'm sorry, I don't know what this is, but have wondered myself if it was a muscle spasm.... but in my knee. It doesn't exactly feel like the ones I get in the rest of my body.

What ever it is, I hope you get relief soon.

I too suffer from pain in my knees that is unexplanable. I had xrays and it showed no arthritis. I am a heavy women, so maybe that is causing my pain, my weight. But even non-weight bearing I get intense pains in my knees and just figured it was part of the MS thing! It even awakens me from sleep. It is very annoying and I take medications to help relieve the pain.

Thanks all, and no my calf is not red or tender. I'm getting a similar pain in my ear/jaw but I know that's TN. I think I'm having a flair & the heats not helping either. Hope you all have a great weekend.
