I've read your posts before and have responded because I too suffer as you do. Have you seen a pain management specialist yet? Last I heard from you on that subject you hadn't and I as well as several others suggested that maybe you consider seeing someone in that line of medicine. Acpuncture was also suggested. How did it go? What did they do for you if anything? I'm sorry you are still not having relief. I can tell you that while I am not pain free, I've certainly improved my quality of life by managing the level of pain I suffer each and every day. I hope you too can find some relief. Let me know how you are and if the advice was any good for you.
My husband takes amtripylene but only at bedtime. It seems to help him take the edge off for night time relief only. Percocet and loritabls? Jeez, how awful. I'm sure that was not a good experience for you. There are many excellent pain management meds on the market now, most up-to-date specialist don't have to resort to those antiquated approaches anymore. Theraputic approaches? That sounds interesting. Keep us posted on how you are working with that. I also believe a neuro who specializes in MS will be more sensitive to the pain side of your MS. In fact, back in the 80's it wasn't believed to be a side-affect of MS. Can you imagine? I take Opana ER which is a time released narcotic pain med. I don't feel fuzzy headed at all and it has helped a great deal. I use to cry day and night from the pain from my legs down to my feet. I also enjoy a hit or two occassionally which also helps! hehehe. Good luck to you, I hope you get some much needed relief sometime soon. I can understand what you are going through and my thoughts and prayers are with you. Keep us posted. Hugs.
That one is suppose to help with walking and if you have pain in your legs all the time, you must not walk well.
I'm kind of curious about all that Ampyra will do-my doc suggested it when I told her how sleepy I got after riding a stationary bike.
