Hi everyone,
I've noticed that my knees are quite stiff when I go down stairs and if I'm on my feet too long, I get pain in my knees. Do you think that this could be related to MS? Does anyone else have problems with their knees?
Thanks for your help!

Yes, I experience a lot of pain in my knees. I can be asleep and my knees will start hurting enough to wake me up. I have spoken to my pain management specialist about it and she has ordered xrays to see if it is an arthritis problem. A while ago, I had one knee xrayed and it showed no arthritis so I counted the problem to MS. Now I've got another chance to get both knees xrayed and I'm going to go for it and see what comes up. So until then, I really can't say for sure, but I believe the problem stems from MS.

I have not experienced knee pain. What came to mind initially was that perhaps they have gotten stiff from lack of use??? There are lots of ways to stretch unused muscles. Have u ever gone to Physical Therapy? If u r able to, get a script from your neurologist for PT. They can fix so many MS issues.

thanks everyone. It sounds as if there could be something besides ms going on - hopefully it is not arthritis and maybe some stretching will help :-)
