I had lost my funding through the CDF and was not able to get my Rebif last month, Thanks to another great member here who told me where to go to get help I was approved and just got my Rebif yesterday and will start back again tonight. I'd like to add also that MS Lifelines sure dropped the ball on this one for me, hoping to never have to deal with them again.

The question is should I squirt some out? My neuro thinks seeing as I tolerated it well I should be able to go to full dose and not tritrate up. I've read that other peoples neuro had them squirt a bit out for the first week, as for doing the full dose once it's in you it's there and whatever bad that could come with it. So if anyone has any thoughts or ideas please share. I have been off for 6 weeks now Thanks in advance.

I had been on full strength (44mcg) for 3 months when there was a delay in my next shipment. I went about 10 days without any injections. My neuro had me squirt out half for a week before going back to the full 44mcg. Seems like 6 weeks without any injections you shouldn't start right out full strength.

Dave, don't squirt half out. Inject half, recap, and refridgerate, the use other half next time. I could be crazy with this idea, but at least you aren't wasting the med and it will last a little longer for you. I did this with my injectible infertillity meds, under the advice of my doctor. I don't see why Rebif would be different.

I would think the doctor or the company would tell you what to do. I personally would not start with the full dose. I do like the idea of using half and saving the rest for the next dose. So glad you found the help that you needed!!!

Hi oleblue!
It's me, SharonMom. I read your post and cannot give you an objective opinion on Rebif because it did NOT work for me at all. The side effects from it were HORRIBLE. Several times I was so stiff on it, that I could not walk and had to crawl around my house like a baby, and the shots themselves were VERY painful because Rebif is SOOO acidic. Before my husband used to administer them to me, I had to take vicodin and wash it down with Kahlua----Which my Dad said was not a very safe thing to do.
I have now been on copaxone for almost a year now and these shots are MUCH milder. I have even stopped drinking alcohol for the most part. The last Kahlua I had was this past December 22nd, when I had one Kahlua and cream drink, when we took my Dad out to celebrate Christmas, because my husband had to work on Christmas Day. And believe me, I can feel my liver thanking me everyday because it is now on vacation most of the time. Hurray for our blessed copaxone!

I was on Rebif for 6 years or so. I agree with the other posts to inject half and refrigerate the other half for your next shot. It is too expensive to waste! Also after being off of the drug for awhile and then injecting the entire strength could cause some side effects.

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper?
