I started Copaxone 5 days ago. I had my sister do my first shot manually but I did my second one and it was a peice of cake! I can't believe how stressed I was over it.It does sting a bit but I am so proud of myself that I can even do it all. I think I am more scared to use the autoinjector than doing it manually. The thought of doing this shot everyday for who knows how long (forever?) gets me down sometimes so right now I will take one day at a time. Just thought I would share.

I too had fears about injecting but like you have found it esy and has become quite routine. So glad that you have overcome your anxiety.

Good for you!!! The first is the hardest. I know how you feel. It seems so unnatural to stick that needle into yourself that it feels like a huge accomplishment. I think when it comes right down to it, we are all as strong as we need to be. : )

I use the autoinject and it works well for me. No one wants to inject themselves but just commend yourself as I commend you for making a decison to start some form of therapy. We're here for you.

Thanks for sharing you thoughts. I am scared of starting for a number of reasons, and one of them is the shot. I really appreciate hearing about your first few days experience.

You should be proud of yourself. I started too weeks ago today so I understand how you feel. I use the auto injector and it not too bad. It does sting like you said. I felt like I made big girl status. Good for you kiakim!!

Be encouraged! I started out on Betaseron and I had to give myself shots everyday. I was apprehensive abt injecting myself. I think having to administer the medicine made the illness all to real but I got over it. I just wanted to feel better. Keep looking at the bigger picture instead of the little shot! LOL

Good for you! That is something to be proud of. One day I might be able to do it myself. As for now, my husband does it for me.

what made it easy for me is knowing that a small girl of 5 years old injects insulin herself,And i thought if she can do it so can i.

Wondering if anyone else out there is using "Low Dose Naltrexone"
to treat MS, no needles & few if any side effects. Plenty of info onine @ ldninfo.org.

Have been on it for five years with good results.
