Today I went for my first session of PT and was surprised when the therapist told me spasticity is good because its the reason I can walk. If I didn't have it on one leg ,since the other one is a wet noodle. Sooo after all I have to be thankful for spasticity. Now I would not complain about the stiffness and pain. Hidden blessing.

I have a spastic walk also and without it my legs would be very weak. So I guess I have another thing to be thankful for. Thanks for posting that and good luck with your PT sessions.

Good for the PT letting you know there is a good thing in having spasticity.It seems to show up at the most in-oportune(?) time. Before I had to start using a wheel-chair all the time, my left leg would get stiff as a board when it was cold out or rain. Last year I was in the hospital and the evening I was discharged, my wife got back from seeing our youngest son off to Afghanistan. She was not in a good mood, but when we got to her car and it was cool out, my leg got so stiff I couldn't sit in the car. We rolled down the rear window, I laid on the rear seat with my leg hanging out the window. We both had to laugh, as I'm not sure what people thought when they saw my wife driving thru town with a foot hanging out the window. And I also think of Chester on Gunsmoke. But can't remember how he got stiff leg. Anyway good luck with PT.

Ted, Sounds like my recent trip. I just cant sit sometimes because of the pain in my butt cheek and leg. But my sis and mom were going to visit a friend 3 hours away. I cant sit that long but our friend has cancer and I might not get another chance to see her so I went anyway. They put me if the back seat rapped in blankets and my feet up. Realized later that i had on a slipper againt the window, that I had trouble with my daughter steeling on me. On the bottom I had written " Dead Meat" and told her that that is what she would be if she took them again.
My sis said that would explain some strange glances she got as people passed us.

That's a good one Lizzy. It's a shame someone didn't take a picture. Have to have a sense of humor, but I'm sure the trip meant a lot to everyone.

LOL , another one worth a whole days worth of laughing. My mother is having so much fun with this stories. As troublesome as some experiences are ,we have to admit when we look back ,we are funny people. Thanks
