Sorry to hear you are not doing well. Have you ever tried organic raw diet and supplements. If not, it cannot hurt. It should take at least 6 weeks to see any improvements but it is worth a try. In either case I am wishing you well. Will keep you in my thoughts.
Sorry you are having a bad time
Hugs
Sorry to hear you are struggling so much. There are aids out there that can help you to type even if you can't type with fingers.
A lot of computers have a speech program on it that converts what you say to typing or you can buy the program.
We have a friend who can't talk or function for himself (not ms) but he uses a computer, originally for games & can now answer some questions on it. He uses a device attached to his head & somehow the messages are sent through & some of them have a thing on the head & he points to the letter or colour (or whatever) & it types that way.
This is just to give you hope & ideas that there are ways to continue using the computer & discuss them with your occupational therapist.
Do NOT give up. What I always say is is "where there is a will there is a way" In other words don't give up but find a different way around it.
Hope something works for you too, miss your posts too.
Take care of yourself & remember that is the most important thing.
I would like to see all members writing to Kayce from time to time to keep her in the loop of our little family. I know that I will write to you and am not expecting replies back. Just so you know that you are not forgotten.
Sue has some wonderful ideas that you might be able to look into right now. There are speech software packages that take your speech and type into the computer. I don't know much about these capabilities, but they are out there. Maybe someone can help you at the hospital get these programs now so that when your hands completely stop working, you can still communicate with your loved ones via the computer? Also, the program Sue mentioned about thought is interesting too. Technology is just amazing these days. I hope you can figure this out and get yourself ready for the future.
I can only pray for you that you will have the strength to endure what you are going to be going through. My heart goes out to you Kayce and I will be praying for you and Bruce. I also promise to write you occasionally so you will know that you are not forgotten. All my love, Lynne
Bijoux, I know you mean well, but a person that are not very mobile and have difficulty using her hands cannot go grocery shopping and prepare food. When you have to rely on others to prepare food for you, you have to smile and say thank you even if what you are given is a MC Donald's hamburger.
If you are having a hard time and are not up to typing, no need to apologize to us. We all have bad days and have to give it a break once in a while. We're just glad you let us know so we can send hugs and prayers your way. Our bad days pale in insignifigance compared to yours. You stand as a shining beacon to the rest of us, an example of one who does not give up.
Gentle hugs and joined at the heart, Linda
This is a very nice supportive site, many good ideas found bt others
experiences. With my RRMS, (30yrs now), have never done steroids. Do not have a neurologist, never could find one that I could stand to be sround. Only med that I take is considred almost homeopathic, but it works.
Called low dose naltrexone, used in a liquid method, cost is minimal - ($20.00 per month). It is written that with LDN, MS will stop progressing. Online check ldninfo.org.
