I've had these little flashes for a few seconds in a pitch black or very dimly lit room a little while before optic nuritus shows up. I've had the ON about 6 times since I was diagnosed with MS.

hahahahaha, that was worded in a way I found very funny. BUT, You are NOT a physcosomotic freak. A clean MRI doesn't prove anything except that they haven't figured it out yet.
I get weird "dancing spots" fairly regularly, my opto and neuro-opto couldn't find anything except a "possible slight tear in the retina" so I just live with it "unless it gets worse".
