Sexuality- erections- Ideas?

Hi everybody,

Where are you all?! Out playing in the sunshine, I guess.

Can I ask for frank advice about sex? This is probably especially for the guys. If it's too embarrassing, message me!!

Here's the scoop:

Ted has started having trouble coming to orgasm. He says that he isn't feeling enough in the tip of his penis.
He is coming about 40% of the time now.

What works? I wonder specifically whether:

* He needs to get completely hard before we start intercourse- the more blood there, the more sensation?
* Is there some kind of vaginal insert (ring) that makes a tighter rim?

I'm sorry about this- it is weird for me too. But these are real questions that we are dealing with- and it might help someone else too!!!

I am battling with similar issues. What medications is he on? Does he use anything such as Viagra? The solution for me seems to be drug related, i'm not sure, but it seems that since my doctor upped my Lipitor dosage things have gotten worse. Yes in order to achieve orgasm it seems we must have a full erection, and yes the sensitivity does diminish a bit. perhaps you should both work on getting him fully hard before intercourse. does he have any problems masturbating? if he can have orgasm that way it may just be position or something that you'll have to work on. I hope this helps.

So a full erection is really important?

He's on Rebif, Clemazopam (sleeping aid), Cymbalta helps his legs but has erectile side effects (so he only takes it on and off).

...oh.... and masturbation isn't working either. He says that it all feels great, but there isn't enough sensation to push him over the edge.

Sorry to put it all out there on the table like this- I hope that no one is offended. But we are dealing with this real issue, and we need some advice.

Does he react to watching porn? maybe if you watched/interacted together it may help get him over the "edge", just a thought.

He should be taking his cymbalta on a regular basis, regardless of ED side affects if this is for depression symptoms. That too can cause a man to have a hard time sexually. You must remain patient, and why not get yourself some nice toys to let him use on you or watch you use on yourself? My husband loves to watch and play himself and it helps him get fully erect. There is also a penis ring, that once he gets erect, you put this ring on the base of his penis and it keeps him hard. Any sex shop on internet should help you.

PS, Don't apologize for discussing this subject, it is a real one between couples and often others are afraid to ask, so it helps those. Good luck to you, and jax3749 seems to be offering a candid man-side of the issue. You are lucky he is being so open. I thank him for that too!
