Yes i read about this a few years ago and it sounded more promising that even stem cells--just a long road before we see the result :(

Thanks for posting this. There is a lot of research on treating this disease. We all need hope. I just wish there would be acknowledgement 400,000 is not accurate. It is kept artificially low (I believe) to maintain the FDA orphan drug status. I have read so many places that 1-2 million is a more accurate number.

Love the concept, but as my doc says "We seem to be able to cure a lot of mice." So taking this too with a grain of salt and a lot of hope!

400,000 is US approximation. The 2 million is the worldwide. The "F" in FDA means federal, as in nationwide. The ms rate in america in Not 1/155. It's about 1/750, which equals a little over 400,000.
