Not the same but I had a ob/gyn cut my bowel accidently, sew me back up and not tell me about it. There was still a leak and she just ignored it. My bowel burst and had to have 5 more surgeries to repair it. Not fun. Still having trouble with things.

Good luck to you. I couldn't sue her because it was considered a "risk" of surgery. ~ Suzi

Thanks Mary and Kaydak, I appreciate the kinds words and thoughts. Kaydak, that is horrible! I hate the thought that a doctor would do that to cover up a mistake instead of doing the right thing and fixing the problem she caused. I was a Paramedic but am unable to work anymore. I went back to work after this doctor told me I was all clear and tried it again and was ultimately unable to continue, maybe if I had gotten the treatment I needed I would have done better. She didn't even tell me that I was positive for Lyme! Regardless I want her to pay! most important is not the financial gain but I want this woman to have to continue treating patients knowing that she has this hanging over her head and maybe , just maybe she will treat her patients better. If I end up coming away with money to pay for my further treatment it will just be a bonus, and won't help the fact that she may very well have stolen 18 months of my life and delayed treatment.

I had an MRI last year and was told it was normal, so I'm at a loss about my symptoms. I have to have a lyme test, too.

That sux that you have both! Do you think maybe it's just Lyme? I'm just wondering aloud, cuz my symptoms could be Lyme too, but my tests always come back normal.

Hi! I went through not knowing for 11 years. I kept having MRI after MRI. Test after test until I finally was diagnosed on 09/05/08.
I have had depression on and off for years.
God is good and he got me through it. Just went through a bout of depression November through end January. I am doing great now. I am on Paxil CR and Xanax. Took a while to find what works and this does. I have bad leg pain everyday. Not just MS, other health problems. I have come to the realization that MS is something you take day by day. There are a lot more good days than bad. I am here if you need to talk.

i was at high risk for lyme, because of outdoor activities and the high risk around here. tested numerous times and ways, always positive, the dr was sure of it. wasn`t he surprised after a spinal tap that it turned out ms.

WHAT IS A DOCTOR CALLED WHO GRADUATED LAST IN HIS CLASS. YEP YOU GOT IT DOCTOR JUST BECAUSE HE CALLED DOCTOR DOES NOT MEAN THIER ANY GOOD.

sOME OF THE YAH WHO'S THAT I HAVE SEEN OVER THE YEARS REALLY MAKE ME WONDER WHO IS GRADING THE TEST AD MED SCHOOL.

Well they said I have two lesions but I don't meet any MS criteria? at this time. He said he wouldn't be surprised if I was dxed in the future but he isn't willing to dx me on symptoms and the two lesions??? anyway he put me on a beta blocker for the autonomic neuropathy and it is definitely helping! I guess I can't complain ...much

I was diagnosed with lyme disease in Virginia when I went to a new neuro that didn't know I had MS- funny how it is one or the other and that I had both!! I took the meds that were given to me as I had symptoms that were not MS and in 9 months or so good as I could be. Good Luck and let us know how things turn out!

Bear, I have a large lesion and several small ones but after the LP and neuro exam, they say i do not have MS. However, if I have further symptoms i should let them know. I am at a loss actually. I am constantly fatigued and my head is sore, hard to believe its not from the lesions, but I know nothing. Good luck, I hope you find out. the worse part is knowing something is wrong and being told you are fine! I was just looking at this board as I don't know where I belong anymore. I remember chatting to you and am wishing you hugs.

This used to be rather common here before the advent of all the "hardware" tests (MRI, Spinal tap, etc.). I suspect that my daughter's neuro has decided not to tell her the truth (his only comment was that he usually can tell when a new patient walks into his rooms - and he'd give her a 50/50 chance). She's told there's nothing on the MRI, and I now know that she didn't have the Spinal. So, I'm still worried -esp. since she has exactly the same psychological indiosyncs. as both mother & sister had. Am wondering if there can be a familiar variant which goes for the personality before anything else. Anyone else know about this? I find it hard to believe that you've been given such a rough time - esp. since you are a paramedic (or perhaps because?) Think see the attorney is a good idea - what a run around.
