Hello Everyone,
I'm not sure if anyone here would be interested in giving blood for a bank they are developing for people with MS. It is called The Accelerated Cure Project. They are trying to take a new approach for the cure of MS. I've included 2 links the first is to the home page and the second is where they have collection sites.
I signed up quite a while ago but no place close enough for me to go to but If I ever pass by one in my travels, and could get in I would give blood. I wish the site was easier to navigate, changed it seems, but they do have lots of info.
So take a few minutes and check the site out and what they are trying to do and I took this from their site it says
You will be reimbursed a nominal amount for time, travel, transportation, etc. You will also be given an opportunity to sign up for a free Accelerated Cure Project t-shirt and our free quarterly newsletter. The newsletter provides updates on the repository, fundraising events, and other items related to our operations.
This is for people who want to participate, did'nt see that before so maybe a trip will be in order for me and they do state if they get a donation from any Pharma co. they WILL NOT PUSH THEIR MEDS FOR THEM. I do like their approach to this horrible disease and I think they may be the only place doing a Repositary Bank. I hope that everyone is doing well

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
I also am a dues paying member of the MS society located in Waltham MA. I belong to a telephone support group run and funded by the MS society. Again no mention of this group ever since my affiliation withh them in 2001.
Really pathetic. I''m contacting the group. To let them know this.. When I first started at my current 'world class MS center' and again when I returned I told hem I was interested in participating in any research esp, the genetic one. That's the last I ever heard of it.

Surprised there is not more intrest in this as it it a blood bank basically for the cure
