I went to the new Neuro yesterday. He didn't seem to have a problem with me not wanting to do the injections and it's been almost a year now since I quit taking my Copaxone. He suggested I do some research on Protandim and think about trying it since it is natural.

Has anyone here tried this?

I'm not sure I understand what protandim is. When I Google it "scam alert" & "ABC investigates" pop up. How is it supposed to help w/MS?

I got the same thing but then kept looking. I also checked the boards here and think some have tried it. It is an herbal supplement.

I posted about Protandim Search for it. John Quinonones ABC did a whole story on it. AND Biogen did a study on it - compared to Tecfidera,

No scam here.

Amy-Have you talked to your doc about switching? I couldn't stand doing the shots anymore (from 1998-January 2014) I was faithful to the shots but I just couldn't do it anymore. Told my new neurologist & he went over the pill options w/me & we decided Tecfidera. So far so good I have been on Tecfidera since February 2014. Mild side effects compared to Rebif. My mental state is improving-not so blue anymore.

Thank you for caring I think I will ask him just hope the pills work as well as shots. I am on Copaxone right now since 2011 walking with a cane now.

Hi Linda. I also was encouraged to take it. First it had to pass muster with the medication interactions. I was taking amytriptiline which interacted with it so NO I did not take it. But yes I am considering it soon. Need to find a reliable rep. NICKI ?, a former member first posted about this. She was viciously attacked for mentioning it.

I will never forget the ignorant responses. From what I can tell she left the site shortly after.

I have had a really bad couple of years and am regrouping first.
