There have been sometimes when I just get sick of people asking when I am just tryiing to enjoy myself & I have used humour instead, said ms but thats just my stone on my shoe lets continue on.
I use a scooter, but not just any ol' scooter, it actually looks like a motor bike. I never cease to be amazed how complete and utter strangers can come up to me and ask why you usin' that thing?'
Yeah it pisses me off the way people don't think twice about being so intrusive and how they feel it's perfectly ok to get so personal. In a million years I never would have dreamt of asking someone I didn't know what or why they used an aid, walked 'funny' (oh ha bloody ha) or any other such invasive question. But seems the majority of people don't think twice about it.
Must come up with a good response, something along the lines...I'm surprised you would ask such a question of a complete stranger.
Yes, it happens and yes it pisses me off.
But I have learned with the people I do know, it is more of a "what's wrong" in the, "Do you need to sit down," "Should we take the bus," "Should I let you wait and I will get the car," that kind of thing. Like a "is something going on" kind of thing, just said in a sort of odd way.
But strangers, well, like I said, on any given day, it is just how they catch me. I really do wish that I could have a little pamphlet to hand out, you know, information on MS.
