Pain Meds Don't Work

I've tried all sorts of pain meds, none work.... Alot of neuros, including mine recommend nuerotin. I've tried it before and it made me a zombie. Should i try it again and jsut deal with being a zombie?? Maybe, it woould work if i tried it long enough? I'm desperate, i have chronic major pain in my legs all the time

I take it. You get used to it. I'm up to 1200mg a day. It still doesn't cut all the pain, but any more than that really does put me to sleep. But yeah most of the weirdness wears off if you keep using it.

Hi. I first started on neurontin, then because it didn't work saw a pain management doctor. he took me off immediately and put me on cymbalta and lyrica. that not working, he slowly moved me to a natcotic pain patch. i've since moved my dosage up two levels and it still is not working. i'm like you, is anything going to work besides cutting off my legs?????

I tried to the pain patch too, it did nothing. Today is my birthday and i'm in bed, i feel so lousy. I'm getting concerned, i know ms is progressive, guess it is getting worse. i'm so sad today, i wnt to be doing things and feel better.

The only pain med I can tolerate is Gabapentin... generic Lyrica.... I am up to 4800 mg a day usually & when I first started I needed to take Provigil to stay awake.... No longer need the Provigil.

My back surgery helped some with the pain issue but not totally. MS is painful... I decided to do all I can to get thru a few more years without as much pain but my dang body cannot use any of the 'good' pain meds ...
