Optic Neuritis

I've had ON since last summer. I cannot see from my left eye that well. I have taken several prednisone treatments and two Solumedrol treatments . . . does anyone out there know how long this will last? My dr says my vision will start to improve in a year.

I have had several episodes of optic neuritis. Each time it was treated with steroids and and my vision came back within a few days. However, I nolonger have 20/20 vision even after I wear my corrective contacts. I am told that I most likely will never see 20/20 again and that very few people actually do. I know that Kensy on Daily Strength has had a lot of difficulties with her vision. I don't think she would mind if you messaged her directly in regards to vision. She may be able to help you or at least give you some advise.

I also had OP and after the steroids and prednisone the vision returned in about a week or so. Like ChrissyH, my vision is not 20/20 but hey I can see! Good Luck! Marilyn

    I went to the doctor a while ago to see about my allergies. He rubbed my arm and stuck things under the skin. Nothing. He poked and prodded, his phlebotomist drew so much blood people thought that we were dating. The tests all came back negative. Then one day I went back and I told him that I had found the cause of my allergy.It turns out, I am allergic to betrayal.

    This isn't really bipolar related but there is never anyone on the parenting groups, this is the most active group I've been in.My 6yr old son has really bad seasonal allergies and they're in full force right now. He gets a terrible cough; he coughs all day and all night, making it hard for him to sleep, and his nose runs.I've tried every allergy medicine, OTC and RX, and none of them affect his...
