I do hope it helps you.now I can't take either one.
From my experienceif you don't notice any difference.then it doesn't work for you...
I find the nuvigil takes longer to work. I was also skeptical however after my trial I stopped taking it and noticed a huge increase in fatigue.
It works best when you take it on a empty stomach, says my neuro.
If you take it with a meal it can be a few hours before you notice any increased energy.
Nuvigil (in my opinon) is much different that Provigil. It is a small increase in energy that lasts a good 6-8 hours whereas Provigil was a good 4 hour energy burst but I crashed hard after it ends.
Nuvigil is not a miracle drug, but it is helpful to me. I take a "break" from it every week for 1 day to avoid builing a tolerance. I started Nuvigil in July and since then it's been doing what it is supposed to.
Give it the full 2 weeks I'd say, when you stop taking it you'll know for sure if it worked for you.
ps, for my insurance to cover me (even though I have MS) my dr had to send me for a sleep study. i was suffering from mild obstructive sleep apnea and never knew! now the nuvigil and bi-pap when i sleep is the perfect combo for keeping some stamina in my daily life.
Take care, Jen
