It is good that some of your numbness has goone. As you realise it is different with every person. Just because numbness is lasting longer on face & hands dosoesnt mean it wont go away with time. Wait till you see the neurologist.

NUMBNESS, I hate it. It is my #1 symptom. So I will loet you know, that sometimes it lasts longer than others. Sometimes I have it for a couple weeks and sometimes I have it for months. I do not know why, no docotr has ever been able to tell me either. You will not completly lose feeling in anything so soon. But i have lost the feeling in my left foot so much in the last 3 years that I have very limited feeling in it noe even when I am attack free. The reason for this that I have been told it eveytime something goes it never comes back 100%, so eventuaqlly it just never comes back. it is kind of shitty (not the right wording but the only way I know how to say it)if it lasts for long enough I find I stop even nitocing it anymore. Especially in my legs. And then one day you realize oh my god I can feel my legs. When did that happen, it sounds strange but for me it works. It might be a defence mechanism or some such thing. But it was such a regular part of my life, it became normal. YIKES, that is actually scary to say out loud:)Hope that helped and did not frek you out worse. Hope you feel better soon. I had the exact same thing and went straight to the doc who sent me to get MRI and found the lesions on the brain....numbness is no fun.

I had numbness in my right hand for two weeks and thought it was carpal tunnel. Then my vision went (diplopia) and the combination of the two landed me in the hospital. The vision is now fine, but I still have a myriad of other symptoms lingering on (two months now). I still have numbness, but not as severe as before. Also, burning in the legs/feet, tingles, prickles and on and on. My neuro told me Thursday that it will take a little while to figure out what the "new normal" really is, i.e. if I'll live with these symptoms forever. Good luck to you.

I`ve been getting alot of numbness lately coming and going mostly in my face around my mouth.The last couple of days it`s been affecting the inside of my mouth ,tongue and down in my throat which really isn`t very pleasant thank god that it goes and doesn`t last for long periods .Don`t you just really hate the numbness .

yeah, it's not that fantastic. i've gotten used to it in my hands and face, but the legs were pretty unpleasant. i love being really active, so it just made me angry.

is it not horrible to not be able to feel the inside of your mouth. Everything you eat tastes kind of like dirt!!!!:)

One positive about numb legs? It makes a great spot to do an Avonex injection! :)
