Just looking at the topics today, I can see it's not a very good day for a lot of us. I was just walking around with my daughter in my arms when I got this crushing pain in my chest. I had to put her down so I could catch my breath...that i could not catch. I was scared to death so I called my husband at work.
Suddenly it was gone. Not completely, it still hurts but not anywhere to the degree it hurt before. Still having difficulty breathing.
I have no idea what just happened.
The only thing that comes to mind is a hug.It felt like my chest/ribcage was in a vice grip.
Called my doctor over the wkend and today, it's ridiculous they want me to make a damn appt rather than just call something in. I understand taking precautions, but I think I know what is wrong with me.
Everything seems to be difficult today. Don't know how much more pain I will be able to handle :(

Deep breaths helped my spasms yesterday. This is the first year I have even felt the MS hug. They stink. I also have a prescription for Baclofan. It eventually kicked in. Oh, and sometimes stretching gently and breathing gives me some relief.

I am so unsure how to explain the MS Hug because I have had it for such a long time. Perhaps it can be a collapsed lung; I had those when I was a teenager.

If I could at least identify what is then I can take appropiate measures to deal with it.

Hi, it feels like you've been hug way too hard, from the back. Mine is permanent but I have heat intolerance and when its hot it becomes unbearably hard. I usually try to cool down as soon as possible and relax, because when I get desperate its harder to breath. Hope it doesn't come often and be careful if you still driving. Alma

    My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
