No more medication?

Have any of you just quit medications w/o informing your doc.? I did. I got so tired of being sick all of the time. Three weeks ago, sick with sinus, bronchitis, and asthma, I decided that the Avonex was probably making things worse. So I quit taking the shots! Now what do I do? I have been taking LDN (when I remember) and don't plan to take another shot until I am totally healthy! Will starting the shots mean that I start the awful side effects all over again? Should I call the doc.? Just stay on the LDN? As far as I know the lack of shots is not affecting the MS--it seems to be about the same. I suppose that over time, however, this may change if I continue to withhold the Avonex. I'm in a quandry. Any suggestions?

Clarification: Neuor prescribed LDN for me when I showed him the research. He didn't think that LDN and Avonex together were contraindicated, but he wasn't real familiar with LDN. Avonex was working and he didn't want me to stop what wasn't working. Took LDN and Avonex for a very short period and then stopped the LDN. Now just taking LDN (except for a few nights when I totally forgot). I quit Avonex due to other medical complications not related to MS. I want to get totally healthy before going back to Avonex or any other CRAB drug. I will tell my neuro. He is very approachable. Not easy to get a new neuro. in North Dakota as they can only be found in three to four parts of the state and usually have more patients then they need! Also, believe it or not, my neurologist is a former student of mine. I had him in basic speech when he was a junior in HS. My pharmacist is also a former student as is my new dentist! I don't feel old enough to have these 'youngsters'! I'm only 50. LOL One thing I do know, however. I know that these guys were fantastic students so I have somewhat of an idea what kind of doc., dentist, or pharmacist each is.
So for now, LDN it is and LDN only--plus all of the antibiotics that the pulmonologist gave me. Larry said that LDN will work with the antibiotics which is great. I'm starting to feel better. I had energy today which I haven't had for months!
