You are asking a woman who has never taken shots over my 25yr quest with ms. Just recently begun ldn & have had weekly B12
for many years. Also glyconutrients have helped me alot.

I would tell your doctor, but I would not start the Avonex again with the LDN. I think the only CRAB to be taken WITH LDN is Copaxone, but I really didn't want to do daily shots plus the expense of both. I feel much better without any CRAB's, and just LDN and s few supplements. But you should tell your doctor anyway.

If you're going to use LDN, I think you need to take it ever night without fail.

I'm no stranger to playing around with my shot schedule and dosage, so I know how you feel with this kind of confusion. I know I'm a huge hypocrite when I say this, but I don't recommend getting into the habit of self-adjusting the medication process. Due to the unpredictability of MS, we really don't know what good or bad adjusting our treatment will do; but based on the research, treatment seems to be only one of very few things we can actively do to take part in maintaining our health and abilities.

I know how it feels to have skipped multiple shots and then get crappy MRI reports: I've been on monthly steroids for 6 months and just had it extended another 6 months. I can't prove the MS acting up is because I skipped shots or because it has a mind of its own, but I have to say that I am NOT enjoying knowing that I may have been able to keep the MS at bay if I had kept up the shots.

I never spoke with my doctor about what I've been doing or not doing with the shots, so I leave you to make that call. My doc is NOT approachable, and I'm a little afraid of him. I hope yours is better! Perhaps you could contact the Avonex nurses for some guidance.

I truly do hope you feel better soon regardless of what you take or don't take to heal.

there have been many taking avonex with LDN, less taking betaseron with it, and recently some taking rebif with it.

never heard that before, all the LDN boards that I belong to say NOT to take LDN with Avonex or Rebif, I will have to reasearch that and see

The Low Dose Naltrexone (LDN) group is where I read that and I believe the list of what not to take with LDN came from Skip at Skips Pharmacy, I will email him and ask him again but his advice to me was that LDN and interferons will fight each other

Immunosuppressant and immune booster? or stabilizer? I am happy not to have the side effects if ReBif anymore!! Oh well, to each their own!

I wouldn't do it, but do know people who've been on all of them And LDN. Bertabobbie was on beta, Bill Meikle was on rebif and quite a few stayed on avonex.

I'm not in touch with them any more, not sure if they gave up one or the other.

And as I have said before, I am sure some out there will swear that a rattle snake bite will help also, but I would not get behind that one either. If Eloise was taking both LDN and Avonex at the same time, in my opinion, that would explain why neither worked. I think you should pick one or the other and sick with it, and yes, talk to your Neruo. If he/she will not prescribe LDN and that is what you want, find a new neruo.

I would recommend that you tell your doc, not ask, but tell, this way its in your file, just in case you ever need it to be.
