Negative MRI but I same symptoms

Has any1 had problems with numbness and tics? A couple of years ago, after a MRI, I was diagnosed with Complex Migraines and prescribed Topamax. The problems slowed down from 4-5 episodes a day to 1-2. After a year or so, my episodes(with numbness and tics on my left side) started getting much worse. After another MRI, in which they found an abnormality that they associated with migraines, the Dr. recommended going of the Topamax. I did and I got better for a month or so. Now, I have headaches every day and the numbness and tics are starting back. Heat is a major trigger, as is stress. Any suggestions? Also, my symptoms seem to have periods of 1 week to a month of little to no activity then they come back.

I can try on this one. I had migraines for years. I also had twitching in my eyelids and lip. I have had a sensitivity to heat for most of my life. Heat and stress could definitely triggered the migraines, but I also had pins and needles, numbness, pain and then ON. I know that I think that I had MS long before it was dxd, and if you really feel that it\'s more than migraines, or if it starts or has started to feel different, you should definitely get them to dig deeper.
I would for sure ask what it was on the MRI that said migraine. Also, you mention your left side. Has there been any prolem on the right side? If not, I would really try to get an explanation about this, maybe what they saw on the MRI can explain why it is just on that side. You don\'t mention, but do you have problems with your vision and light sensitivity, nausea, dizzyness, loud noises? Every person is different wth every ailment, but if these are not factors, I would also ask why as at least some are common with migraines of any kind. always remember that if you don\'t think the answer you ae being given is right, get another opinion. Have you been checked for Patent Foramen Ovale (PFO)? I had terrible migraines for years along with my vertigo, so my first neuro sent me to a cardiologists who found a hole in my heart. PFO\'s are really commen, about 25% of the population have it, but they are not that serious unless your at risk for having a stroke or you have severe migraines.

I had a constant headache for over three years that would escalate to full blown migraines at least 4 days a week. It was hell, but after I had the device placed in my heart last July to close the hole I have been headache free ever since. (I still get regular stress headaches and sinus headaches from allergies but that\'s normal).

I was really lucky that where I live the Doctor that did the surgery is the #1 cardiologist in the country. The surgery is a piece of cake and you\'re out of the hospital the next day. (They just make a small incision in your leg and guide a tube up to your heart to place the implant, no open heart surgery is required).

I hope this info helps and this all that is wrong. With everything that is out there this is the easiest fix I\'ve found. Let me know if you have any other questions or just need a shoulder. :o)

I have had light sensitivity, dizzyness, blurred vision, and problems with loud noises. I rarely have these symptoms all at once, but I usually have symptoms for 1-4 months and then 1-4 weeks with little or no symptoms.
