Hi, I havent been diagnosed yet, but I have had this before, the first time I had it my arm above my wrist had a constant ache so bad it brought tears to my eyes, the only thing that helped was a very hot heating pad on the area. I don't know if this is the same thing, but I hope this helps you. (((hugs)))

Yes, it is the ms. I have arm pain with weakness and heavy feeling too. My neuro said it was the MS. Sorry you feel like this, hope you feel better.

I'm waiting on a dx but I get that all the time, It's one of the first symptoms I got with numbness in my fingers. Only effects my left side. They thought I had Thoracic Outlet Syndrome because of it, which they have ruled out.

I get to a point where even sitting doing nothing is painful and laying down is even worse. I just take painkillers and rest, hoping it eases a bit.

well CRAP! I think I am going to go insane my legs feet and ankle have chronic pain that is enough to drive me crazy alone, now my arms. I have never understood this disease and the longer I have it the more confused I get none of this makes no sense , even after having it for 7 years. I see my neurologist November the 14th and I will talk to her about this. and I have recently gotten the foggy head pretty bad here lately too. it has become worse and more frequent. :(( excuse me for saying but this just sucks we are all on this boat out in the middle of the ocean going nowhere. hardly any of the medications make any difference in the quality of my life andthere is not near enough money for research with MS it seems we are pushed aside for some reason..b I apologize for those that remain positive I'm just having a bad day

oh and on top of that I think I have an ulcer I have all the symptoms going to the doctor Tuesday for that. I would think Ms does not cause ulcers or possibly stomach problems but who knows at this point

I'm going through this right now, can't sleep cause it hurts worse laying down. Most of the pain is on my left side, from my neck through my shoulder and the lower part of my arm. My upper arm doesn't hurt just feels week.

I'm taking Baclofen & Vicodin which helps a little but it doesn't last long. I hope you start feeling better soon

I take bacoflen too , but I can't take the dosage that my neurologist wants me to be on because it makes me so drowsy and especially with my pain medication for my legs feet and ankles that i have 24/7. thanks everyone for listening to my whining today and I knew I would get some good answers because doctit's certainly don't know anything

That was one of the first symptoms I started having. It started with my fingers going numb then hurting up my fingers then up my arm into my shoulder. It would alternate between a sharp pain and a dull throbbing ache, and I would have times my fingers would claw. Stretching it out was agony. My doc put me on keppra instead of baclofin and its helped. It also helped with the fog and it doesn't make me sleepy. It also has fewer side effects. I've also found compression gloves help a lot. I've got the 3/4 finger length that go past the elbow. It turns the aching into feeling pressure. They don't work as well when it's sharp stabbing pain.

I got some compression foot ankle wraps and they help out pretty good. I had a doctor try me own keppra 1 time and it did nothing but I head such severe pain in my lower limbs nothing was working. but I will keep that in mind and possibly using Keppra instead of baclofen.MS is so complicated and different for every. good luck to everyone
