I am curently taking the new drug "Ampyra" for balance. Not working too well for me. Great to hear of a vaccine, and do hope it will not be priced out of our range.

I've heard about this, have you heard anything more recent about it? All of the articles that was based on are from 2007, I'd love to know what they are doing with it now or if it had to be dropped...

I emailed Mark Foley, who is listed on the video site, regarding the status of this vaccine. This is what he had to say:

"The research is still several years from being ready for human studies. Weve been distributing that video in an attempt to get a pharmaceutical or biotechnology company interested in the vaccine. We hope the right company will step forward and take over the commercialization effort. East Carolina University just doesnt have the resources or facilities to move the vaccine forward quickly enough."

If we spread the word hopefully someone may pick it up for commercialization.

Another 'vaccine' that has already been through some some trials is Tovaxin, by Opexa. I emailed them and they are currently in preparation to launch another trial. No date set yet. I was encouraged to hear that they have partnered with The Myelin Repair Foundation.
Yes, I'm hoping both these groups get some funding so they can move foreward.
