I am experiencing burning cold pain (if that makes any sense). It happening in my arms and legs. I thought it might be side effect from the Avonex. I have been taking it for two years now and thought I had the side effects to where they are just mild. But the past two or three weeks it is like from the beginning. Within two hours of the shot I am getting chills and then burning sensation over skin. It use to take hours before side effects hit me. I take my shot on Monday at the neuro office. But I am still having the burning chilling sensation but no fever.

I am waiting on the results of a brain MRI to see if changes in MS. I told my neurologist about having pain on top of head (occipital neuralgia but different) it cause severe burning, stabbing pain but also weakness and tremors.. where I think I am chilled but can't stop shaking.

So anyone else have this? Is this just the Avonex side effect or MS?

My family is coming down this weekend. I want to feel good for them. Anything medication / herbal to stop the burning?
