Man some really good and a lot of really funny responses! I love asking questions that garner these answers cause if I'm askin I'm not the only one who wants to know....nobody ever talks about getting older with MS...I'm 46 soon to be 47 and I have good days and bad days...and each little creak or pain I have to decide if this is an MS thing or a menopause thing...today started a new back neck pain...not horrible...just more stuff...Rhonda IS getting older....YAY! (not sarcasm...serioiusly YAY) I'm still on the right side of the grass! :D

Hey there -- It was interesting to read all the responses. I was diagnosed with MS at age 57. I am thankful that it is a mild case. I have a slight gait problem and off balance most of the time, but the symptom that I am trying to attack the most is the fatigue. I decided after I was diagnosed that I was going to do everything I could to treat and improve my condition, and then put the issue aside and just keep living. This has been a very successful approach for me -- I don't spend a lot of time thinking about my condition, as long as I know I am doing everything I can. I am just thankful that I can live a long life with this illness as opposed to a terminal disease. I believe God knows what is best for me -- always has, always will !! In that, I trust !! Just stay positive -- I believe that is paramount in fighting any obstacle, regardless of age !! .... :) ......My motto is to always be positive !!

cbcounc1, you're like me - dx at 57 (after 6 years of symptoms), will be 59 in June. Also a mild case - issues with walking and balance.

This is so funny to me: I'm a widow, hard to know when/if to reveal your dx to someone you're dating, so I looked at your profile. Realized you are only about 4 hours from me - a possibility for a relationship - but then saw that you were female and said "Darn!"

I was diagnosed in my 30's and now I am in my 50's, it has never been easy or manageable. After getting so bad that my memory was shot and I had to quit work, I am so tired of wondering what is next!
