Im trying lyrica, but seems it makes me feel strange, almost a high feeling or out of my body feeling. Weird I know. Anybody else ? I want to try lyrica since I have pain 24/7 but dont know if its worth feeling coo coo and not help with pain much. Any thoughts appreciated

I only felt odd in the head for about 3 days. I also started vit. B2 and vit. D at the same time, so I just figured my body was revolting. I started with only 100mg, three times a day, and worked up from there slowly as I got used to it. I got too groggy on Neurontin, so we switched and are taking it slowly.

I get no side effects from Lyrica. I've been on it for a long time and can't remember side effects I may have had. I know they couldn't have been too bad or I would have remembered. I know It took at least a week for Lyrica to start working. Maybe that will be true for you and the side effects will go away also.

I hope this goes away. Because it's very bothersome. There's something weird about it because it has a warning for people who've have or had drug abuse problems. Which I never have, must be something in that doesn't suit me. I also couldn't take nuerotin due to the extreme drowsiness. I'll talk to my doctor about it. Thanks for the comments.

Tried Lyrica. It was almost as bad as Cymbalta. Put me in bed, like my brain was on fire, kind of like electric shocks.

lyrica is a funny drug with a lot of side effects, the main ones I see in my daily work are drowsiness, hallucinations, vivid dreams and a kind of vague feeling. generally speaking to combat this we start very low ie:75mg at night then twice a day adding one tablet at each end of the day until we get to 300mg twice a day. sometimes symptoms can take a week or 2 to settle down, in which case if they are not too disturbing we would stay at the same dose for that time and only increase when they have gone away. also it shouldn't be stopped suddenly rather reduced in the same way it is increased. if it doesn't work or the side effects are too bad we would stop it and try amytriptaline instead. hope this helps sharon
