I have noticed that when I bend forward slightly from the waist, like working at the kitchen sink or any sink for that matter or walking up an incline or bending forward slightly to see the stairs when going downstairs, my legs, especial from the knees down feel like tree stumps and go numb. After being back upright or sitting down for a few minutes, they are OK again.

Any clue what causes this or what area the lesions are in to cause it?

I hate stairs & inclines bc of my legs, but I can do the 'Frankenstein" on flat land too. I believe it's the big lesion on my spine that causes my leg probs, as well as my constipation & incontinence probs too. But since there are lesions on my brain too, I'm not exactly sure which ones are doing what! This disease is SO hard to put rhyme or reason to- it's diff all the time- sometimes the symptoms come & go, sometimes they go away completely, & sometimes they stay altogether. It's very hard to make plans bc of it! However, just like taking a car to the mechanic, it seems to behave itself on the doc apptmt days! lol

I have very similar problems along with the bladder and bowel problems. My doctor has recently found what looks to be an old lesion on the thoracic cord that she feels is causing it. There is atleast one brain lesion. She ordered a new brain mri to look at the brain stem because of other symptoms including trigeminal neuralgia and vision problems.

Sounds like some of these issues could be what you have? Take care!

I get numb legs after driving for awhile. Then, my crazy feet like to vibrate. It is such a scary feeling walking around, and can't feel your legs. I have a significant lesion on ny spine which is causing the bladder and leg issues. I also have some tiny lesions in brain..... who knows what those can affect.

I really kind of hate this disease.

I'm having another brain MRI next week. I don't see the neuro. He's just calling me with results to save another 3+ hour drive and money. Such a nice guy. I'll talk to him about it then and see what he has to say. Thanks for the input.
