I know this subject has been addressed before but please bear with me one more time.
I can't sleep at night due to strong leg jerks and electrical shocks in my legs and feet.
I am going to my doctor tomorrow and want to ask for something but I have no idea which is the best med to take for this.
It's getting so bad that the jerks are keeping my husband awake as well., so now I probably spend an hour in bed then give up and go to the couch in hopes at least he can get a good nights rest.
Sometimes the spasms will make my foot curl up and jerk really fast or my leg will go straight and just jerk real fast. Sometimes it happens to my shoulder too.
Please let me know what works for you.

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
Does it happens every time you lay down? If it does, then just laying down at the office and he can see for himself.
For me stretching helps some .

Your leg (sometimes arms) feel as if they are plugged into a cattle prod.
Aweful.
Plus the nerves can cause a muscle contraction.
How many times have I splashed myself in a parody of some old time slap -stick comedian?
This happens more when you are tired or stressed.
The RLS can also be treated with ativan.
Pick up a copy of "Multiple Sclerosis For Dummies ". Best thing I
ever got.
Explains so much of the 'stupid ' stuff....
Remember MS is a nerve thing.
Recall how the Doc hits your knee with a hammer and your leg kicks?
He is checking the reflexes of the nerves.
I learner years ago to swallow my pride and just ask about this stuff.
So much that seems sorta odd....but all a part of this.
It 's a miserable thing and there are no sure fire ways to help. But there ARE ways to assist.
I hope this helps.

It only happens when I am relaxed enough to drift off to sleep. At least my legs anyway, my arms jerk at times while I'm awake and whatever I'm holding goes flying.
I'll let you all know what the doc says today.
