I jsut had to share this. I use my laptop ALOT, usually with it laying on top of my legs/thighs. I've figured out that the heat from the laptop is agrravating my legs due to the heat the laptop gives off. Just thought i'd share in case anybody else is doing this.

Yep, I'm the same. Not noticed any issues from it, but it did cross my mind the other day that it probably wasn't a smart thing to do...

I noticed this myself, I have a Dell and for some reason it seems to put out quite the heat...

buy a laptop cooling mat, it attaches to your USB... all kinds of relief. :D

I use a laptop as well. You can alleviate your problem with the heat by purchasing a cooling pad. You can buy them in most computer stores or online. I prefer the type that uses a USB port to power the small fans. They cost approx $19-$29. They are useful for keeping the laptop in good operating condition as well.

I was having issues with my legs and I bought a laptop desk at Walgreens for $20. I love it! It is on wheels and I use at a chair or the couch. I think WalMart had some for students for $20.

Thanks for the replies. I will get a pad!

I sit mine on top of an old Guiness Book of World Records, 1995 I think! Works great, none of the heat gets through and it lifts it up a little bit higher. And it didn't cost me anything!

Sometimes I feel like the electromagetic influence of the battery cell on my lap can aggravate MS. I dont know if there is any truth to that, but it has been speculated before that electronics can influence body systems.
