Ok, I want to start by saying that I am not for drama...I HATE it but I AM for saying something when it need to be said and I think that this needs to be said!

Am I the only one that is upset with Isthather's reply? When someone is on a quest for diagnoses a comment like that is not necessary. She said that all of her drs. came back with the same opinion...well good for her because she has not had to deal with a "bad" doctor. There are plenty of those out there and some of us get stuck with them while contiuning to get sicker. She said "DO NOT wish MS on yourself." I highly doubt that PaintWarrior is doing that, she is simply saying that all of her symptoms line up and a lot of other things have been ruled out. It's not about wishing a MS DX on yourself, it's about the huge relief you get when someone says what you've known all along in your heart and getting on meds so you can move on.

Ok, I am done! I just found that comment to be not positive at all and isn't that what we are all here for...positivness?

i'm so very sorry to hear all of what you've been going through. it absolutly sucks that they don't believe you because they're not knowledgable in this area of expertise. my best friend was dx'd with lupus years ago, and at the time, lived in what she called a "hick town" in Pennsylvania. none of the doctors there even heard of lupus at the time and they too, chalked her symptoms up to being in her head. she had to fight like hell with the doctors there and still got absolutely nowhere. she then decided, it was best to visit a neuro in another state that was populated much heavier than where she was in PA. that turned out to be the best choice she'd ever made because she was dx'd and treated, almost right away.

i know you've already spent possibly hundreds, if not thousands, but why not look into another area for help? you may just have better luck with a dfferent doctor outside of TX.

i do sincerely hope it all works out, and that, even if you don't have MS, that you're condidtion is identified and treatable.

I think Isthather assumes that Warrior's Neuro wanted to treat her. She obviously is one of the few that went straight to her first neuro appointment was patted on the head and given a dx.

Unfortunately, it is what happened to Paintwarrior that happens to most women. We run from one neuro to another until one listens...and it is usually a woman neuro that will hear our cries, listen to our stories and begin to weave a dx for us.

Lucky for Isthather that things went smoothly for her. For most of us, it sure doesn't.

Ya! Exactly!!! It's not that way for most of us!!! And, if your that lucky then your damned lucky!!!!

I would give anything if it had went that great for me!!!
