Its about time...what do u think?

Well...I finally got my diagnosis...guess what? I have MS...who knew :)

For those of u who don't know my story...they thought I had transverse myelitis at first and were watching me...had my 6 month follow up MRI and boom!!! more lesions (kind of makes me mad a little that they made me wait when i did have 2 lesions to start with...but now I have 4...that they know of, only had a new scan of my brain)

So now its time for injections...Did u all get to choose which one u wanted to be on? cause they gave me a choice. I have chosen Copaxone. Any words or suggestions?

LDN is a drug that seems to have helped many, but not all. There is very little research because it is a drug that will not be making any drug company rich, to be perfectly honest. My neuro will not write for it because there is not enough research...

It's a catch 22 to be sure, but I'm sure you will find many on here with more thoughts on LDN (LarryLDN is the first person who comes to mind to me...).

As I've said before, I am very happy with Copaxone with it's limited side effects. In addition, the nice folks at Shared Solutions sent me copies of their 10 years of research and tracking of the drug back in 2003 (so they'd have more now). Good luck in whatever you decide! xo Cj

When I started taking disease-modifying drugs, Betaseron was the only player on the block. Avonex came along soon after. So I did not have a choice. Betaseron or no. I have progressed through Betaseron, Avonex, and Copaxone. The least side effects with Copaxone, and after a month, none with Betaseron. The first month, however, was hell. Even still, I think I did the best on Betaseron. I could see a very observable improvement though these medicines are not mean to improve, but decease symptoms. Yet I did improve. The others I am guessing. I am now on Tysabri. The only side effect that MAYBE related was stomach problems I had after being on the medicine approx 7 months. Was it Tysabri, bad food, or any number of things? I think I am doing better with Tysabri, but will soon reach the magic number of 24 injections. Now I ask "what now?" Good luck to you BTW, Betaseron and Copaxone has the smallest needles and I hear Betaseron has an even smaller needles coming soon. Avonex is a intramuscular injection meaning a very long needle. Even so, if the area is numbed with ice, the injection is not bad at all. The needle is very sharp and goes in like butter so no real pain.
