I have scarring on my left arm from fingers to elbow along a nerve. Scratching the itch did absolutely nothing.

So increased Neurontin & took Benadryl. Neither did a lot but my brain knew I was trying something. LOL!!!

in the winter, yeah. hard to ignore, but sometimes hand cream is better than making it bleed

I had an intense episode of itching. It was particularly bad on feet. I went to the alergist thinking I was have an alergic reaction, but it wasnt. I also took an antihistimine and used topical benedryl. It eventually wwent away ( in a couple of months). The allergist thinks it was MS related. No other explanation!

Hey Kelly I get it too. I for sure think the Copaxone is part of my culprit. Besides that like Larry says winter and our weather out here always dry aggravates our skin. I use Curacel (non scented) it really helps.
Put on at night before bed.
But it could be the imaginary MS itch too and no lotion will cure. But try the other to see if it helps.

Yep, get that too. It comes on at stupid times and stupid places. Scalp, feet, hands and occasionaly my face.

I cant say where I've got the itch at the moment. I thought it was one of the many bities round here but I dont think it is. It got so bad I was tempted to use the dog shampoo.

Benadryl tablets.......... my hands nearly drove me insane....... Benadryl took care of it.......My 2 cents worth.....Steve

I have this and it's all year thing. Usually on my stomach and it's a different kind of feeling than a dry skin itch, which I ironically don't get anymore. This is more intense and in places without the dry skin. It's a creepy crawly kind of feeling and it has bled from scratching. Also, no lotion helped and neither did benadryl. A very weird feeling.

This is how I was initially dx...itching like mad on my shoulder and that led to MRI's and so forth...it's part of MS among other things.

Yes, my legs and arms are so itchy that I have little blood marks on them, scabes, (sp) I was wondering about that, I even changed soaps and my body was still itchy. Well, thanks for bringing this up. I thought it was only me. Margaret.
